Hersheypark Announces “Twizzlers Twisted Gravity”
(eap) Hersheypark, based in the US state of Pennsylvania, has announced that it will open a new high-thrill attraction in summer 2025: “Twizzlers Twisted Gravity” will be the name of the ride, which is a pendulum with two gondolas from manufacturer S&S Worldwide. The liquorice-like fruit strings from the Hershey confectionery brand Twizzlers inspired the theming and design of the new ride, which will transport passengers to a maximum height of around 41 metres (137 feet). They will reach speeds of almost 110 km/h (68 mph) and experience a number of airtime moments. A ride on “Twizzler’s Twisted Gravity” will last one minute and ten seconds – guests must be at least 1.20 metres tall to board.
“We continue to invest in attraction experiences that leverage unique Hershey brands, so we are thrilled to add a Twizzlers-branded Screamin’ Swing to our unmatched ride portfolio next summer. Twizzlers Twisted Gravity will provide our guests with the best of both worlds – the ultimate thrills and never-before-seen views of our park’s beautiful 121 acres [Editor’s note: just under 50 hectares] as they soar to a record-breaking height and leave gravity behind,” promises Vikki Hultquist, Vice President Hersheypark & Entertainment Operations. ■
