Hong Kong Disneyland Celebrates 100 Million Visitors
(eap) Hong Kong Disneyland Park (HKDL) recently welcomed its 100 millionth visitor. Michael Moriarty, Managing Director of Hong Kong Disneyland Resort, surprised a family of five with a certificate and a gift hamper. “We are grateful to the millions of guests who have continually supported and visited Hong Kong Disneyland, making it a part of their magical memories for 18 years and an iconic tourism landmark in the region,” said Moriarty. “As ‘Frozen fever’ takes over the city with the newly opened World of Frozen, we cannot wait to welcome more and more guests from around the world.”
In September 2005, Hong Kong Disneyland opened its doors as the smallest Disney theme park with some 126 hectares of ground space and 21 attractions at the time. With the recent opening of the world’s first “Frozen” themed area, HKDL hopes to attract even more (international) visitors in the future. ■
