IEE 2023 in Vienna Closes with Top Results
Yesterday (September 28), this year’s edition of IAAPA Expo Europe, which was held in the Austrian capital Vienna for the first time since 2006, ended with very good results in terms of attendance. As the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) announced after the fair closed, a total of 12,289 professionals from the European amusement industry took part in the three-day event, including 8,475 so-called “Qualified Buyers“. On the total exhibition area of 17,670 square meters, 633 companies presented themselves as exhibitors, who were very positive about Vienna as this years trade show location. In terms of total exhibition space, this year also set a new record for the European trade show, according to IAAPA. Compared to last year’s event in London with a total exhibition area of some 15,000 square meters, 11,474 participants as well as 530 exhibitors, this year’s show results show a renewed upward trend in the European leisure market.
“IAAPA Expo Europe 2023 has exceeded our expectations in every way. The incredible turnout of more than 12,000 attendees and the presence of 633 exhibitors underscore the strong optimism and dynamism of our industry,” said Jakob Wahl, President and Chief Executive Officer of IAAPA. “We are thrilled to see our community come together in person once again to exchange ideas and showcase the future of the attractions industry.”
Peter van der Schans, Executive Director and Vice President for IAAPA EMEA added, “Vienna has been a fantastic host city, providing the perfect backdrop for this milestone event. The support of our members, partners, and exhibitors has been instrumental in the success of IAAPA Expo Europe 2023, and we are grateful for their dedication to our industry.”
