Italy: Mirabilandia Amusement Park Celebrates 30th Anniversary
Mirabilandia, founded near Ravenna in northern Italy in 1992, is considered one of the largest amusement parks in the country. On an area of 85 hectares, guests can discover a total of 46 attractions, shows, food outlets and shops spread over six themed areas. With Mirabeach, an outdoor water park with Caribbean flair has also been part of the offer since 2003. In 2019, a completely new themed area was opened with “Ducati World”, where everything revolves around the Italian motorbike brand (c.f. EAP 5/2019).
To celebrate its anniversary this year, the theme park held a big “birthday party” at the end of July, the highlight of which was the evening show “The Last Pan”, specially staged for the occasion by the Italian company Stuntmanshow Production. Special effects and video mapping made the show, which was performed on a lake, a special experience for the audience. Park guests still have the opportunity to enjoy the evening show until mid-September.
Riccardo Capo, General Manager of Mirabilandia, proudly comments: “The secret of Mirabilandia’s longevity is all in its ability, constant over time, to offer visitors an extremely rich and heterogeneous offer. For 30 years now, we have never stopped: we have continually renewed our thematic areas and related attractions, balancing our entertainment proposal that is aimed at both lovers of adrenaline experiences and families with children. […] We celebrate 30 years by thanking all the staff and all the people who, over so many years, have made possible the operation of a great facility like Mirabilandia. Now we are already looking forward to the next 30 seasons.” (eap)
