Italy: Neveplast Launches Skiddy App

From now on ”Skiddy” track fans have the possibility to experience the kart adventure at home. In cooperation with the software development company CRYsoft Development Italian Skiddy manufacturer Neveplast launched the so-called “Skiddy App” last week. The download is free-of-charge for everyone owning a smartphone equipped with an iOS or Android system. By introducing the app, Neveplast responds to the users’ demands for a greater digital involvement and improved possibilities to communicate with other kart fans. Additionally, the app enables users to try a virtual version of all existing Skiddy tracks without temporal limits. In this way, Neveplast tries to encourage people to visit the real tracks, for example the one located in the Italian city of Livigno (Lombardy), which opened in 2013 (cf. EAP-News from September 12, 2013). The Skiddy attractions offer their visitors a unique experience, combining cart driving and skiing. The tracks feature a special flooring which makes the users feel as if they were driving on ice. (eap)
