Italy/Germany: Gardaland CEO Aldo Maria Vigevani Announces His Retirement

After 24 years at the helm of Gardaland Resort, CEO Aldo Maria Vigevani will retire on 1^st May 2022. Under Dr Vigevani’s leadership, the park, which belongs to the British operator group Merlin Entertainments (Merlin), developed from a simple amusement park into a successful theme park resort for a broad target group that is one of Europe’s leading leisure destinations.

The current Managing Director of Germany’s Heide Park Resort in Soltau (Lower Saxony), which is also part of the group, Sabrina de Carvalho, has been promoted to Senior Divisional Director and as this will take up the leadership of the Italian park.
