Japan: teamLab Borderless Announces New Digital Art Experiences as of July 15th
Yesterday, Tokyo-based teamLab Borderless: MORI Building DIGITAL ART MUSEUM (teamLab Borderless) announced that it will present visitors with all-new experiences installed during a major expansion as of July 15th. First, three new attractions were installed in the “Athletic Forest“ area, which combines athletic movements and challenges with digital art (cf. EAP 1/2020). The new attractions include the high ropes course “Aerial Climbing“ and the balancing course “Balance Stepping Stones through the Invisible World“ as well as the interactive experience “Hopscotch for Geniuses: Bounce on the Water“, from which digital fish, butterflies or birds are projected into the artwork by jumping on symbols.
In the “Light Sculpture Space“ area, no less than five new works have been integrated to expand the light experience, in which three-dimensional sculptures are created from light. The main teamLab Borderless area has been enlarged and equipped with the new artwork “Reversible Rotation, Flying Beyond Borders - On Stroke, Cold Light“, which is dedicated to traditional ink painting. As usual with teamLab, all artworks influence each other, creating a special digital art experience. In addition, guests can have their drawings or those of their children from the interactive areas “Sketch Aquarium: Connected World“ or “Graffiti Nature“ printed on badges, towels or T-shirts. (eap)
