Ken Whiting Appointed Second Vice Chairman of IAAPA for 2019

The board of directors of the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) has recently elected Ken Whiting (photo) second vice chairman for the term of 2019. A member of the IAAPA board of directors since 2017, Whiting is President of Santa Cruz/California-based ice cream company Whiting’s Foods. For three years he has been chairman of the IAAPA Food & Beverage committee, in addition he also served to four other committees of the association, including the human resources and education committees. His company has been providing food services to California’s Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk for more than 60 years and has been an active member of IAAPA for over 50 years.

His contribution to the development of food and beverage is universally recognized and there is no doubt about his passion for the attractions business. Following his tenure as second vice chairman in 2019, Whiting will take over as IAAPA Vice Chairman and finally assume the role as Chairman of the Board in 2021 for a one-year term. (eap)
