KristallTurm Starts Its Anniversary Year with a New Owner

(eap) The KristallTurm® company, based in Lenggries in Upper Bavaria, is celebrating its 15th anniversary this year. Back in 2007, Heinz Tretter opened his self-developed high ropes course in Lenggries... On this basis, he founded the company KristallTurm in 2010, which specializes in free-standing high ropes courses. In 2020, a further production site was opened in Achenkirchen, Tyrol, in addition to the headquarters to further increase the depth of in-house production – all projects are carried out in-house, from consulting and planning to production. Today, the company has around 80 high ropes courses in more than 30 countries, with projects in New Zealand, Romania and Taiwan joining the list in 2024.

At the beginning of the year, founder Heinz Tretter handed over the company to Michael Haller, who is now taking over the management of the company as owner and managing director. Haller has been with the company since 2014, initially as a metalworker and then as Technical Manager. Heinz Tretter will remain with the company as an authorized signatory.

With installations such as a KT-12 high ropes course with three levels and 69 climbing elements in Sibiu, Romania, or a KT-13 with three levels for up to 100 people at the same time in Auckland, New Zealand, there are already interesting international projects in the pipeline this year. The KristallTurm product catalog now also includes the “Playletter” sports and play product. The eight-metre-high and two-and-a-half-metre-deep prototype can now be climbed and played on in the entrance area of Bavaria Filmstadt, and the official opening of the large “B” is scheduled for this spring (see EAP 6/2024). ■
