(eap) The Polish Ptak Group, which operates the Mandoria indoor park among other facilities, has announced the takeover of the French theme park Le Parc du Petit Prince. The park inspired by the story of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s “Little Prince” was opened in 2014 and has welcomed thousands of visitors annually since then.

“The acquisition of Le Parc du Petit Prince represents a major opportunity for Mandoria to expand our footprint in Europe,” explains Albert Ptak, owner of Mandoria. “The park aligns perfectly with our vision of creating immersive, family-friendly destinations that deliver unforgettable experiences.”

Until now the park was owned by the Parisian company Aerophile. “After ten years of developing a unique experience based on Saint-Exupéry’s work, we sought new investors for Le Parc du Petit Prince to enhance its offerings and attract a larger audience. We’re thrilled that Ptak Group, a respected Polish company, shares our vision and is committed to the park’s future development,” says Jérôme Giacomoni, co-founder of Aerophile.

As part of its plans for Le Parc du Petit Prince, the Ptak Group will invest in the park’s development and modernization. “The key initiatives include the introduction of a thrilling new rollercoaster that will become a flagship attraction, along with significant upgrades to the park’s infrastructure. These efforts are part of the company’s broader growth strategy, which includes the ongoing success of Mandoria in Poland,” outlines Joanna Jędrzejczyk responsible for the business development of Mandoria, and adds: “We are committed to using our experience and passion to elevate Le Parc du Petit Prince into an even more prominent and recognized destination, attracting visitors from around the world.”

The indoor theme park Mandoria, operated by the Ptak Group near Łódź, Poland, was opened in 2021 and is modeled on a Renaissance trading town. The park only opened another main attraction in January of this year: the “Aquila” roller coaster, a Family Launch Coaster from Vekoma, as well as two round rides (read our article in the new EAP March/April issue). “It has been truly remarkable to witness the growth of Mandoria over the past few years,” emphasizes Jeroen Nijpels, owner of JNELC, a key advisor involved in the transaction of Le Parc du Petit Prince. “It’s exciting to see a Polish company making a significant impact in global entertainment, and I’m confident it will lead to even more success in the years ahead.”

In addition to Mandoria, the Ptak Group’s portfolio includes the Ptak Fashion City clothing retail centre and the Ptak Warsaw Expo trade fair and congress centre. ■
