Kuwait Opens Large Floating Waterpark
(eap) A new floating waterpark recently opened in Kuwait, the capital of the emirate of the same name, which lies on the shores of the Persian Gulf. The facility, which is operated by the Touristic Enterprises Company (TEC), was implemented as part of a government-led project on Kuwait’s largest beach – Blajat Beach – by the German company Wibit Sports, which has thus realized one of its largest projects to date.
The floating waterpark covers an area of 300 x 30 meters with around 370 floating modules. This allows a total of more than 730 people to enjoy fun on the water at the same time. The elements of the classic “Wibit SportsPark” were designed to form the name of the city “Kuwait”, so that a special sight is offered from the air or from the nearby high-rise complexes. In addition to the fun factor, the various modules in the SportsPark are created to promote the coordination, balance and agility of the bathing guests. In addition, there is a so-called “KidsCircuit” designed for children from the age of four, so that they can also enjoy exciting obstacles in a safe environment. For those who prefer it more laid-back, the facility from the sub-brand Looft by Wibit offers modules such as cabanas and couches for relaxation. ■
