LEGO® Exhibition “The Art of the Brick” Comes to Berlin
(eap) After more than 100 stops in 24 countries (including London most recently, see EAP News of 21 March 2024), the worldwide touring “The Art of the Brick Experience” LEGO® exhibition will be making a stop in Berlin from October.
At CANK, a former department store in Berlin’s Neukölln district, visitors will be able to immerse themselves in the world of Lego for about an hour on over 1,100 square metres from 3 October 2024. The exhibition comprises over 100 sculptures, including reinterpretations of world-famous works of art such as Michelangelo’s “David”, Van Gogh’s “Starry Night” and Da Vinci’s “Mona Lisa”. Special highlights also include a six-metre-long Tyrannosaurus Rex skeleton and a multimedia collection of Lego photographs created in collaboration with award-winning photographer Dean West. The sculptures are created by Nathan Sawaya, the creative mind behind the exhibition. Exhibiton Hub is presenting the exhibition, which is said to be the largest to date according to the organisers, in collaboration with Fever.
In addition to the sculptures, the exhibition also offers interactive areas – in the Lego Play and Build Zone or the Lego Pool, children and adults can give free rein to their creativity. During the exhibition period, there will also be numerous events and workshops for Lego fans of all ages. The experience will be rounded off with a pop-up store offering limited editions and exclusive sets that are only available in conjunction with the exhibition. ■
