Liseberg Celebrates Start of New Season

(eap) The Swedish theme park Liseberg celebrated the start of its new season this past weekend. Visitors were greeted by the park’s mascots at the southern entrance and some 4,000 rabbit ears were handed out to young guests. The bunny mascots and around 1,000 visitors danced together in an attempt to set a new record for the largest “Bunny Disco”, celebrating the start of the 2024 season.
“It’s absolutely fantastic to finally open the park and welcome all the happy guests. This is always an important highlight for us, but it feels even more special and significant this year,” enthuses Andreas Andersen, CEO of Liseberg.
Lotta Carlsbogård, Head of Seasons and Events at Liseberg, shared this enthusiasm: “In honor of the premiere day, we decided to go big. The bunny disco is a genre we’ve been pioneering at Liseberg, and this time, we set the bar high with a record-breaking disco. It definitely felt like we achieved a world record!” ■
