London/UK: Madame Tussauds to Open Star Wars Experience

As of May this year, visitors to London’s Madame Tussauds attraction will be able to discover a brand-new Star Wars experience, as was announced by the Merlin Entertainments attraction yesterday. Created in close collaboration with Disney and Lucasfilm, the new Star Wars experience will show life-like wax figures of the popular characters of Star Wars Episodes I-IV. Visitors will be able to step into authentic walk-in sets inspired by eleven key scenes from the movies featuring 16 characters. The multi-million pound expansion, which represents an entire new area across two floors of the attraction, is to provide a spectacular finale to the current visit. The new area has been designed for further expansions and additional content for new figures and scenes, too. The opening of the Star Wars experience is scheduled for mid-May. Madame Tussauds Berlin will also open up a new Star Wars experience in May, yet on a smaller scale and with different specially created scenes. (eap
