Looping Group Takes over Management of Terra Botanica

(eap) The French Looping Group, which currently operates 19 leisure facilities in Europe, is taking over the management of the French theme park Terra Botanica. The park in Angers (Pays de la Loire region), which is characterized by its green spaces, only set a new visitor record this season with 587,000 guests ( a plus of six percent compared to 2023). The official takeover by the Looping Group is set to take place in the first quarter of 2025 with the signing of a 40-year leasehold agreement. The new management will enable the park to invest a higher volume of 59 million euros.

For Florence Dabin, President of the Departmental Council of Maine-et-Loire and President of GIP Terra Botanica, “the arrival of this renowned operator will allow Terra Botanica to take a new step in its development. Meanwhile, this park has become a reference among the major theme parks in Europe, with a place among the top 10 in France in terms of attendance. Looping will support Terra Botanica in its investment needs in order to offer the company real growth opportunities.” For Christophe Béchu, Mayor of Angers, President of Angers Loire Métropole and Vice-President of GIP Terra Botanica, “the significant investment of a major player in the tourism sector will further strengthen the attractiveness of Angers, the capital of plants, and beyond that of the entire region.” ■
