Netherlands: Floriade Expo 2022 in Almere Kicks Off Today
From 14 April to 9 October 2022 visitors can enjoy Floriade Expo 2022 in Almere, Netherlands
Today marks the official start of the International Horticultural Exhibition Floriade Expo 2022 in Almere (near Amsterdam), Netherlands, where ideas will be presented for the next six months that make cities more fun, more beautiful and more sustainable. Thus, under the motto “Growing Green Cities”, the exhibition – which is held every ten years (last time in Venlo in 2012, cf. EAP 3/2012) – focuses on green solutions for urban design. Already yesterday, the garden expo was inaugurated in the presence of King Willem-Alexander.
A total of twelve pavilions will be presented on the Floriade site by the Dutch horticultural sector in cooperation with 400 national and international participants from 33 countries. Visitors will of course also be able to discover and enjoy the scent and colors of flowers, plants, vegetables and fruit.
