New Adventure Trail Open at Flumserberg

New Adventure Trail Open at Flumserberg

(eap) The popular Swiss winter sports area of Flumserberg stretches between Zurich and Chur in the canton of St. Gallen. Now a new attraction has been opened here for the snow-free months. Together with the Bergbahnen Flumserberg and the company Erlebnisplan, an adventure trail has been implemented. The themed trail with the name “Rohan Rothirsch Erlebnisweg” starts on the mountain Prodkamm 1,939 meters above sea level. The trail then stretches downhill for three kilometres and is designed for children of primary school age (aged 6-12). Along the way, the young hikers can acquire knowledge about medicinal herbs and learn to respect and protect nature in a playful way.

15 wooden stations have been built along the trail for this purpose. At the end of the trail, the regional Mosterei Möhl offers children a free organic spritzer at the Prodalp mountain restaurant if the explorers have completed a collection card along the way. The investment sum of the adventure trail amounts to approx. 380,000 EUR (370,000 CHF). The project was supported by the local communities of Flums-Dorf and Grossberg, the Alpkorporation Mols, the Swiss Ski and Snowboard School Flumserberg, the Ferienwohnungsvereinigung Flumserberg as well as the canton of St. Gallen.
