New, old Spreewald Barn Opened at Germany’s Spreewelten Bad

Recently Germany’s Spreewelten Bad in Lübbenau opened its new Spreewald barn, a new relaxation house within the sauna area. Last year already saw the renovation of the interior design of five saunas at Spreewelten Bad (we reported in EAP 5/2011). Now, with the construction of the new relaxation house, the redesign of the sauna area with many regional references is complete. A more than 100 years-old barn had been removed from a village nearby and re-erected at Spreewelten, providing additional capacity to the relaxation area. The wooden beams within the barn reveal the original use of the building. The actual barn has been complemented by a small gastronomy building. (eap)
