(eap) The US cruise line Norwegian Cruise Line® (NCL) has announced new and expanded experiences for its ships Norwegian Bliss® and Breakaway®. The so-called “Silver Screen Bistro”, a combined cinema and dining experience, is set to make its debut exclusively on-board Norwegian Breakaway. Holidaymakers will be able to take a seat on oversized deckchairs and extendable tables, where dishes from the speciality restaurant “Food Republic” will be served. This new offer was developed by NCL’s innovation team and long-standing design partner Studio DADO.

There will also be a new “Horizon Park” outdoor area on both ships, which will offer space for playing and sunbathing. All of this with a view of the ocean. NCL is working together with SMC Design and Conductr on this area. On the Norwegian Breakaway, the open-air meeting place will also comprise a stage for live music and entertainment. In addition, the gastronomy offer on both ships will be expanded. Norwegian Bliss will have “Palomar”, a seafood speciality restaurant, replacing “Ocean Blue”. The two restaurants “Cagney’s Steakhouse” and “Teppanyaki” will also be expanded. On the Norwegian Breakaway, Ocean Blue will also turn into Palomar and Cagney’s Steakhouse will also be expanded, for which “Moderno Churrascaria” is making way.

“At Norwegian Cruise Line, our guests and their preferences are key to how we develop the experiences on board. Our goal is to give them the holiday of their dreams,” says David J. Herrera, President of Norwegian Cruise Line. “From new concepts that offer more outdoor living options to create memories with friends and family, to expanding the dining options that continue to delight our guests across our fleet, we are offering more experiences and more indulgent moments for travellers.”

Prior to the start of its Caribbean season, Norwegian Bliss will be in dry dock from 17 January 2025, while Norwegian Breakaway’s enhancements will be implemented from 19 February 2025 before the ship embarks on its summer season in the Mediterranean. ■
