Opening of New “Moo Lagoon” Water Playground at Story Land
(eap) Today marks the opening of the new “Moo Lagoon” water play structure at Story Land theme park in Glen, New Hampshire (USA). The opening ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. local time with a ribbon cutting ceremony featuring popular Story Land characters. The new attraction is a multi-level, farm-themed water play structure from Canadian manufacturer Vortex. In total, the attraction features more than 50 interactive elements such as water-spraying flowers, a tractor that spits out water and a tipping bucket that dispenses water at regular intervals. Visitors can also look forward to five miniature water slides for the youngest visitors as well as three 28-foot (around 8.5-meter) tall body water slides: “Cob Cruiser”, “Silk Slider” and “Husk Runner”, which offer thrills for taller fun-seekers.

Anyone who has forgotten their swimwear at home can stock up on new swimwear at “The Stock Yard”, a sales stand designed as a barn. Furthermore, there is a 2,500 square meter building – also in barn style – equipped with showers, toilets and changing rooms. If guests are feeling hungry, they can find something to eat at “Barn Yard Pizza”. The project, which has been two years in the making, represents the largest single investment in the park’s history and promises cooling and fun on warm days for families with small children and teenagers.
The opening of Moo Lagoon also coincides with the 70th anniversary of the theme park. “The upcoming opening of our all-new landmark attraction, Moo Lagoon, is the perfect way to toast to Story Land’s momentous 70th Celebration Season,” said Chris Kearsing, General Manager of Story Land. ■
