Opening of the New Hennigsdorf Indoor Swimming Pool Complex Near Berlin

(eap) In mid-July, 2023, the 43-year-old aqua-Stadtbad in Hennigsdorf-Nord near Berlin opened its doors for the last time. Today, on August 25, 2023, the new Hennigsdorf swimming pool complex, which was created at another location within the city, can be explored as part of an “open day”. Next Monday, the bath will then start regular operation with a school class. Despite some delivery problems, Covid and energy crisis the project was completed within the set time and cost frame. About 19 million euros © Matthias Baumbach were invested in the construction of the swimming hall, which was financed completely by the municipality. Three pools have been created – a 25-meter pool with five swimming lanes, an exercise and a multipurpose pool as well as a children’s pool. In addition, the leisure pool will offer two saunas and a 86-meter-long thermally insulated tube slide with a slide time display from AQUARENA. ■
