(eap) Otium Leisure, a French operator group of location-based entertainment attractions such as Speedpark, Kids Empire, Games Factory and Kojump, has presented its “Strike” strategy, with which it aims to – according to the company – become the European market leader in the field of Family Entertainment Centers (FECs). To drive the implementation of this strategy, Otium Leisure has secured a unitranche financing package of 140 million euros, structured by investment company Eurazeo. Otium Leisure’s goal is to operate 100 new centers in Europe within five years. In July of this year, the company acquired Games Factory with 13 FECs in France.

“The launch of Strike represents a decisive milestone for Otium Leisure as we pursue our ambition to become the European reference for family entertainment centers. Thanks to solid financial backing, strategic partners and a highly qualified team, we are further strengthening our foundations to successfully implement our strategy in a fast-growing sector. The acquisition of Games Factory is a tangible proof of this, illustrating our significant progress in the consolidation of the European leisure market and our objective of creating an integrated, multi-brand group, leader in the European leisure center market,” comments Édouard Malnoy, CEO of Otium Leisure.

Otium Leisure was founded in 2021 and currently operates a total of 130 leisure centres in Europe and the United States. ■
