Parc Bagatelle Welcomes Thierry Tardy as Its New Director
For more than ten years, Parc Bagatelle, opened in 1955 in the municipality of Merlimont in the north of France, has been part of the Looping Group. With the appointment of François-Jérôme Parent as director, one of the grandchildren of the park founder took over the management of the park in 2015. Since then, investments have been made in the further development of the park, which has also been able to increase its visitor numbers during this time (2022: 384,000). Now Parent has been promoted within the French operating group to from now on take care of the development of new attraction concepts for the total of 17 parks in Europe in the new position of concept designer leisure and water park attractions at group level.
Taking the reins at Parc Bagatelle is Thierry Tardy, who was named the park’s new director last week shortly after season start. A tourism expert, Tardy has more than 30 years of experience in the theme park industry and the national as well as international hotel industry. Originally from the Paris region, Tardy, who is passionate about tourism, is also interested in sports and discovering new horizons.
For the current season, Parc Bagatelle has a new great magic show up its sleeve for its guests, among other things: “Origine” with illusionist Tim Silver. (eap)
