Phantasialand / Germany: Expansion Plans Approved …
Mit einem Millionenpublikum gehört das Phantasialand zu den größten Themenparks in Europa.
At the beginning of November, Phantasialand in Brühl, Germany presented its plans for a park expansion reduced from initial 30 to 19 hectares (cp. EAP news from Nov 9, 2012). Now the plans have been approved by the regional council. The final approval puts an end to a 10-year-long period of uncertainty on the part of the park. Phantasialand belongs to the top parks within the European theme park industry. The results let park owner Robert Löffelhardt think positive and be confident about his plans to develop and expand his park to a short break destination in a manageable time frame. The exciting expansion plans for Phantasialand include a six hectare large aqua park hotel resort as well as a multi-functional event hall to be built on a 2.5 hectare large area. (eap)
