(eap) Plopsa Group has announced an investment of four million euros for a new Maya the Bee themed area at its Belgian theme park Plopsa Coo in Ardennes. The new themed area based around the Studio 100 character “Maya the Bee” is scheduled to open in 2025 and will feature four new attractions, including three completely new rides. These are “Swingboom”, a Kontiki attraction from Zierer, “Valtoren”, a family free-fall tower also from Zierer and a Wild Swing from Art Engineering. There will also be a new restaurant complementing the area. The park’s existing Maya the Bee attraction “De Vlindervlucht” (a Windstarz ride from Zamperla) will be relocated and integrated into the new area. The new themed zone will cover a total of around 5,000 square meters and will be located at the back of the park, on the site of the former labyrinth.

“The Studio 100 character of Maya the Bee fits in perfectly with the philosophy of this park, which is surrounded by beautiful nature. It was therefore an obvious choice to take this further. At Plopsa, we are constantly striving to improve our visitor experience. With this investment, we want to market Plopsa Coo Ardennes as the family vacation par excellence. We are therefore looking forward to welcoming our visitors to this Maya the Bee zone soon and letting them experience even more magical moments,” comments Carl Lenaerts, CEO of Plopsa Group, with enthusiasm. ■
