Poland: Plopsa Celebrates Construction Start of Majaland Warsaw
Friday afternoon, the investment company Momentum Capital and the operating group Plopsa celebrated the construction start of their latest theme park development Majaland Warsaw, which will be the second park destination operated by Plopsa in Poland (cf. EAP 5/2020). The park project, which has an estimated investment volume of 30 million euros, will be similar in structure to the 2018-opened Majaland Kownaty (cf. EAP 6/2018)
“We are very proud to continue our successful cooperation with Plopsa by the realisation of Majaland Warsaw […],“ said Martijn van Rheenen (photo left), founder of Momentum Capital. Steve Van den Kerkhof (photo right), CEO of the Plopsa group, gave a little sneak peak into the theming of the family park: “Majaland Warsaw will be, as the name suggests, dedicated to beloved characters such as ‘Maya the Bee‘, but also ‘Vicky the Viking‘ and ‘Heidi‘ will get a prominent place in the park. The outdoor area will be dedicated to the ‘Super Wings‘ IP. […]“
Majaland Warsaw will be part of the mixed-use complex Projekt Góraszka, which is scheduled to be completed in October 2022. (eap)
