Rulantica Water World Celebrates 5th Anniversary

(eap) The Rulantica water world, part of Germany’s Europa-Park Erlebnis-Resort, is celebrating its fifth anniversary and, in addition to its 14 themed areas with a total of 53 attractions (including 38 water slides), is offering guests some special birthday activities from November 28 through December 1, 2024.
For younger Rulantica fans, the Sixtopus water world mascot “Snorri” will be throwing a big birthday party in the “Snekkjas” restaurant, while adult guests can enjoy specially created cocktails accompanied by DJ music in the heated “Frigg Tempel” outdoor pool. Guests in the “Hyggedal” relaxation and sauna area can also look forward to a special sauna infusion program. The outdoor area of the water world will spread a cozy atmosphere in the evening with fire bowls, and on 28 November guests can also marvel at an evening pyro show in the outdoor area.
Since the groundbreaking in September 2017 and the opening of Rulantica on November 28, 2019, the largest single investment in Europa-Park Resort’s history has already reached several milestones: The Hyggedal relaxation and sauna area opened as a first new additional offer back in October 2020, followed by the extensive “Svalgurok” outdoor slide world, the “Snorri Strand” children’s area and the “Snorri Snorkling VR” Diving Theater in June 2021. Since December 2021, the rustic “KOTA Sauna Chalet” has enriched the sauna offer. In May 2022, the new “Dynstrønd” beach area opened, while “Snorri’s Rutscheplads” and “Snorri’s Spelaborg” added interactive play and sliding options for younger guests at Snorri Strand.
In July 2022, the interactive water carousel “Tønnevirvel” was opened, which will be available to guests as an indoor attraction in winter from the end of 2024. In December 2022, the “Nordiskturn” area was inaugurated, which is the largest indoor expansion since the water world’s opening with numerous lounging options. Since February 2023, the eight-lane “Vikingløp”, Europe’s largest speed slide (a RallyRacer from Canadian manufacturer ProSlide Technology), has been thrilling adrenaline fans there. In the summer of 2023, day suites were also added to Nordiskturn, offering guests luxurious retreat options. ■
