Sculptures, Slides & VR at Hagymatikum Spa in Hungary
(eap) The Hagymatikum bathing complex in the small town of Makó in southern Hungary has been expanded with a new 2,462 square meter large building. Here, visitors can discover 28 sculptures that immerse them in the mythical world of Atlantis. The exhibition is accompanied by appropriate lighting and three different films that can be seen on the walls. The sculptures were designed by Hungarian architect Imre Makovecz (†), who had already designed the main building of the spa as a gift for his home town.

Bathers also find two new pools and four new large slides from Polin, which eleven was responsible for installing as a cooperation partner. These include a covered version of the “Turbolance” slide type with a length of over 70 meters, a slide combination of “Body Racer” and “Aquatube”, which starts at just under 13 meters, as well as a combination of a “Mini Magic Cone” and “Space Hole”, which has a length of over 50 meters and features a funnel as well as a bowl element. Also, a new VR snorkelling offer, implemented by Ballast VR, promises fun for young and old alike. Visitors can choose between five different VR experiences of five minutes each and immerse themselves in fascinating worlds while snorkelling in a temperature-controlled indoor pool. Furthermore, the outdoor area of the spa has been renovated. Here, guests find a garden to relax in as well as beach volleyball courts and football tennis. ■
