SeaWorld Launches New “Weather-or-Not” Assurance Program
(eap) Against the backdrop of extreme heat and wild weather battering many regions in the US this summer, SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment has introduced its new “Weather-or-Not” assurance program so that guests can organize their park visit regardless of uncertain weather conditions. This new ticket assurance is broader than before and covers extreme weather conditions that affect the actual park stay as well as impacts on flight plans for an upcoming visit. For example, guests are now entitled to one free visit to a SeaWorld park within twelve months (based on the validity date of the previously purchased ticket) if a ride has to be closed for 60 minutes or longer due to inclement weather, if park hours are restricted, outside temperatures reach 110 degrees Fahrenheit (43 degrees Celsius), or lightning, storms and hail significantly limit the visit experience. The ticket assurance is valid year-round for extreme weather conditions.
“In introducing Weather-or-Not Assurance, we are proud to note this is the most generous inclement weather policy in the industry. When guests book and look forward to making memories in one of our SeaWorld parks, we want them to feel fully assured that if Mother Nature winds up having other plans that day – even if for as little as an hour – they will be able to come back another day, on us,” said Marisa Thalberg, Chief Marketing & Communications Officer, SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment. ■
