Silverwood Theme Park Opens America’s Longest Dueling Water Coaster
(eap) Silverwood Theme Park, located in northern Idaho (U.S.), is expanding its associated water park Boulder Beach this year with a dueling water coaster from Canadian manufacturer ProSlide. The new attraction called “Eagle Hunt” is said to be the first “Dueling RocketBLAST” in the west and the longest of its kind in America. Over a track length of almost 925 feet (282 meters), park visitors will ride through three “FlyingSAUCER” curves in two-person boats and be catapulted up four inclines using waterjet propulsion.
The Dueling Water Coaster will be part of the new “Emerald Forest” themed area, which will expand the range of the water park by around 30 percent (approx. 4 acre (1.6 hectares)). In addition to Eagle Run, there will also be new attractions for younger visitors in the form of “Salmon Run”. Eight different slides with lengths of around 36 to 82 feet (approx. 11 to 25 meters) and a splash pad await kids here. The children’s area takes its name from the salmons that inhabit Idaho’s lakes. The park is also expanding its gastronomic offering with the “Rapids Grill” and “Hook, Line, and Sippers”. Visitors can find take-away food at both, or drinks in the case of the latter. Boulder Beach is also expanding its range of cabanas with 32 new private cabanas and five group cabanas for up to 20 guests each. ■
