Singapore: Magical “Avatar: The Experience“ Walk-Through Event to Launch at Gardens by the Bay
The Singapore-based company Cityneon brings the world of Pandora to earth with “Avatar: The Experience“. Precisely, to the large “Gardens by the Bay“ park in the heart of Singapore. The park is part of the city state’s vision to create a “city in a garden“, intended to become its premier urban outdoor recreation space. Up to now, it is one of the most popular tourist attractions in the metropolis, having already attracted 80 million visitors since its opening in 2012. In cooperation with Disney Location-Based Experiences, film director James Cameron and Jon Landau's Lightstorm Entertainment, Cityneon is creating the world of the “Avatar“ blockbuster at this unique location. “It‘s an honor to present Avatar: The Experience with the support of the Singapore Tourism Board and Gardens by the Bay. We are excited to contribute to the inspiring creative culture of Singapore. The iconic Cloud Forest at Gardens by the Bay, one of Asia‘s most popular horticultural attractions, becomes the perfect scenic location. We look forward to welcoming guests to this carefully-curated event,“ shares Executive Chairman and Group CEO Ron Tan. (eap)
Apart from the 20th Century Studios, the film studio behindAvatar, Cityneon holds further partnerships with companies such as Hasbro, NBCUniversal, Lionsgate and, as announced at the beginning of the year, also with Warner Bros. In cooperation with Warner, a travelling exhibition thematically related to the “DC Universe” and the “Wizarding World” is to follow next year. For now, however, visitors can immerse themselves in the world of James Cameron’s successful science fiction film. In the art experience world, innovative technologies create a mystical fantasy world where visitors of all ages can admire and interact with the creatures of Pandora. Among them will also be a new character from the new film sequel “Avatar: The Way of Water“, which will see its premiere in December this year. Fittingly, the gates to Pandora will open before the film‘s release on October 28. (eap)
