Six Flags Announces Nomination of Four New Independent Directors
(eap) American leisure park operating group Six Flags Entertainment Corporation has announced that it will nominate Sandy Cochran, Michael Colglazier, Felipe Dutra and Steven Hoffman for election to the Board of Directors at the company’s 2025 Annual Meeting of Stockholders. Each of the nominees, if elected, will serve as a Class I Directors for a three-year term ending in 2028.
After successfully seeing the company through its first-year post-merger, current directors Esi Eggleston Bracey, Michelle McKinney Frymire, D. Scott Olivet and Enrique Ramirez Mena have each decided to step down from the Board in connection with the 2025 Annual General Meeting. “We thank Esi, Michelle, Scott and Enrique for their immense contributions to our legacy company boards and their valued service on the Six Flags Board during the critical, early stages of the combined company,” emphasized Executive Chairman Selim Bassoul.
The nominations are the result of a thorough review by the Six Flags Board of Directors and a selection process conducted with the assistance of executive firm Spencer Stuart. Felipe Dutra and Steven Hoffman were identified by Six Flags shareholder Dendur Capital LP.

Sandra (Sandy) Cochran has extensive executive and financial experience in both public and private companies. Cochran began her career at SunTrust Banks and then spent 17 years at Books-A-Million where she held various leadership positions, including President and Chief Executive Officer. Most recently, Cochran served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Cracker Barrel Old Country Store from 2011 to 2024.
Michael Colglazier is President and Chief Executive Officer of Virgin Galactic Holdings and has held this position since 2020. Colglazier began his career with The Walt Disney Company in 1989, where he held various management positions, including President of Disney Land Resort and Managing Director of Disney Parks International from 2018 to 2020.
Felipe Dutra is Non-Executive Chairman of Waldencast PLC, a position he has held since 2021. Previously, he was Chief Financial Officer of Anheuser-Busch InBev from 2004 to 2020 and additionally assumed the position of Chief Technology Officer in 2014.
Steven Hoffman is the sole owner of Python Global Ventures, an investment firm he founded in 2018. Prior to that, Hoffman was a partner and head of the consumer sector at Highline Capital Management LLC from 2001 to 2018. Hoffman began his career at Wertheim Schroder & Co. as an investment banking and private equity analyst. ■
