Studio 100 Separates from Plopsa Group CEO Steve Van den Kerkhof
The Belgian media company Studio 100, known for its popular children’s TV series, has relieved the CEO of its theme park division Plopsa Group, Steve Van den Kerkhof (48, photo), of his duties with immediate effect. The separation is the company’s reaction to complaints from part of the workforce, which would have already come to light in recent weeks through an investigation by an advocate hired by the group. Accordingly, the longtime Plopsa CEO, who had held his position for 23 years and was instrumental in the success of the European theme park division, had exhibited unacceptable behavior toward his employees, what would have led to a toxic work culture.
Koen Clement, President of Studio 100, takes over as interim CEO. (eap)
