Sweden: Jan Eriksson Named New CEO of Gröna Lund
The Swedish operator group Parks & Resorts Scandinavia announced today that Jan Eriksson has taken over the role as Gröna Lund’s new CEO. Since last fall, the company had been searching for a successor to Magnus Widell, who had stepped down from the post after nearly a decade in charge. Now Eriksson is expected to lead Stockholm’s Tivoli park, which celebrates its 140th anniversary this year, into the future. This year will also see, by the way, the kick off to the works for the creation of the new park area on the adjacent parking lot of the theme park. Previously, Jan Eriksson served for five years as Chief Information Officer (CIO) of the operating group, which in addition to Gröna Lund also includes the Kolmården animal and amusement park, Furuvik and Skara Sommarland.
“Since 2017, Janne has been the CIO for our group and he knows both our theme parks and our workforce well. He is curious, responsive and has a strong commitment to the theme park and its future. We are very pleased that he is taking on the role of CEO of Gröna Lund,” says Christer Fogelmarck, CEO of Parks and Resorts Scandinavia. (eap)
