Switzerland: Kannewischer Celebrates 50th Company Anniversary

The Zug, Switzerland-based Kannewischer Management AG, which is specialised in thermal baths and wellness facilities, was founded in 1952 by Bernd Kannewischer and is celebrating its 50^th anniversary this year, led in the second generation by his sons Jürgen and Dr. Stefan Kannewischer. Under the Kannewischer Collection brand, the company operates five wellness oases in Germany: the Caracalla Therme, the Emser Therme, the KissSalis Therme, the Spreewald Therme and the VitaSol Therme. The offer is to grow further in 2023 with the opening of the Sprudelhof Therme in Bad Nauheim. This is a special project, as it is a historic thermal complex built between 1905 and 1911 in the Art Nouveau style, in whose “Sprudelhof“ („Sparkling Yard“) spa operations are to be resumed and provide visitors with a unique bathing experience.

“Our company has always been characterised by a passion for swimming and bathing. We plan emotional experience spaces for people,“ explains Jürgen Kannewischer. “We don‘t offer castles in the air, but always feasible and operationally sensible projects that pay off in the long term,“ adds Dr. Stefan Kannewischer.
