The Park Playground Appoints Bill Painter as New Head of Franchise
(eap) Belgian VR systems integrator and franchisor The Park Playground (“The Park” for short) welcomes Bill Painter (photo) to its team as Head of Franchise. In this role, Painter will contribute to the company’s international growth strategy and strengthen The Park’s presence in the UK market in particular. One of the company’s top priorities is the further rollout of its franchise model for location-based virtual reality experiences, which can already be found in several cities in Europe. With his expertise in the franchise sector, which Painter gained from previous positions – including his former role as Director of Development EMEA at Lift Brands, where he developed more than 30 locations of the gym chain Snap Fitness in the UK and Ireland within three years – he is ideally positioned to establish further partnerships in Western Europe. The Gulf States are now also being focused on as target markets for franchise locations of The Park Playground.
“I’m thrilled to join The Park Playground and looking forward to working closely with our franchise owners. The Park’s franchise model and turnkey solutions bring huge benefits for brands looking for a profitable way to diversify their entertainment portfolios and attract broader audiences. The Park provides ongoing support throughout the process, both onsite and virtually following installation. I’m looking forward to forging new partnerships and helping to steer the company through its next chapter of growth and innovation,” comments Painter.
Peter Vindevogel, CEO of The Park Playground, adds: “With a strong presence across Europe and a growing market in UK, Bill joins us at a really exciting time as we are poised to continue our rapid growth. The success and prosperity of our franchise and VR System solution owners is a priority. With the strategic appointment of Bill, we are making a commitment to maximising return on investment for our valued partners.”
The Park’s new turnkey VR System solution was launched earlier this year and has recently been adopted by Center Parcs Park Hochsauerland in Germany, where guests can now enjoy a range of family-friendly VR experiences and games (cf. EAP News of 27th Oct 2023). ■
