Torsten Krier Becomes New Pool Manager at Stadtwerke Osnabrück
(eap) Torsten Krier will become the new head of pools and leisure at Stadtwerke Osnabrück on April 1, 2024. He takes over from Wolfgang Hermle, who successfully managed and shaped the Osnabrück pools for over 13 years. Hermle will take over the management of Mineraltherme Böblingen in April, returning to his Swabian homeland. The new pool manager a Stadtwerke Osnabrück, Torsten Krier, was previously managing director of the Kur-Servicegesellschaft Bad Bevensen and the Kurgesellschaft Bevensen in eastern Lower Saxony, where he was responsible for the Jod-Sole-Therme. Prior to this, the pool expert had been managing the BadeLand leisure pool in Wolfsburg for around twelve years. “I am looking forward to the tasks ahead. For me, the move to Osnabrück also means a return from the spa to the leisure sector,” says Krier.
“I am delighted that we have succeeded in bringing Torsten Krier, a proven spa expert, to Osnabrück. With his expertise, he is an excellent fit for our established pool structure consisting of three pools with different orientations and a mix of leisure and public services,” explains Dirk Eichholz, CFO of Stadtwerke Osnabrück.
The Osnabrück pools: Nettebad, Schinkelbad and Moskaubad are not unfamiliar names to the new pool manager. “The Nettebad in particular is of course well known in the industry as a beacon. But the other pools in Osnabrück are also special and have their own appeal. I am looking forward to working with the highly committed team at Stadtwerke Osnabrück on the sustainable further development of our pools,” says Krier. ■
