Turkey: Polin Waterparks Introduces New ”Stingray” Water Slide Attraction

Today, Turkish water slide manufacturer Polin Waterparks has announced its latest water slide creation “Stingray“, a four-lane tube slide, which can be enjoyed by eight persons (four two person rafts) simultaneously. The two starting towers will offer a roofed start section, which provides not only shade but also a cooling water mist. From here passengers enter one of the four slide entrances. The tubes have multiple interweaving ride paths that exit into two large-scale bowls, which contain two different paths each. One that is larger in diameter, longer and faster and one that is smaller in diameter and shorter. Visitors will have the opportunity for a new slide experience each time based on their choice of lane and combination of rider weights.

All four slide paths offer multiple special effects such as ocean sounds and lights and are compatible with VR application, according to Polin. Riders will experience a maximum speed of up to 14 m/s on each of the four 160 meter-long slide paths. Overall Polin predicts a maximum capacity of 720 pph for the Stingray. Polin’s special “UTexture“ refinement procedure, which is used to produce the new slide attraction, offers a variety of unique design, pattern an texture options. (eap)
