UAE: New “Family Zone“ Lets Kids Enjoy Iconic Ferrari World Rides

With its new “Family Zone” area, Ferrari World Abu Dhabi is particularly appealing to young park visitors who are eager to enjoy adrenaline-filled riding fun on the “miniature versions” of the park’s most iconic attractions. Four new experiences have recently been installed by the Italian manufacturer Zamperla:

The "Formula Rossa Junior" coaster is a family-friendly version of the record-breaking "Formula Rossa" Intamin high-speed coaster, the signature ride of the park. Instead of a top speed of 240 km/h, children can experience the smaller ride version at 45 km/h. In addition, an interactive "WindstarZ" flying carousel, a 15-metre high "Sky Tower" and a "Speedway Racer" race track out of the manufacturer's portfolio complete the new Family Zone. The latter is a miniature version of the park’s “Junior GT” attraction.

Ferrari World will surprise visitors with further novelties in the course of the year – in November, the amusement park will celebrate its tenth anniversary (cf. EAP News of 22 Jan 2020). (eap)
