UAE: New „Downtown Slide“ Attraction Opened In Dubai

Emaar Properties PJSC, one of the leading real estate companies in the United Arab Emirates, recently opened its new “Downtown Slide” in Dubai. The seven meter high steel slide is located on Burj Plaza with a direct view on the landmark buildings Burj Khalifa and Souk Al Bahar. A state-of-the-art insulation has been incorporated into the integral design which keeps the internal area of the stainless slide cool even when the desert country’s external temperatures raise high. In this way, Dubai tourists and residents can choose from now on to use the new slide to move in Downtown Dubai. Mounted at a 30 degree angle, the slide’s track is 19 meter long and provides a two square metre floor mat at its end for a safe arrival. The slide has been delivered by the German company Josef Wiegand GmbH & Co. KG – last week, another slide construction of the company opened in London (cf. EAP news from June 24th, 2016). (eap)
