UK: Brand-New Full Body Immersive VR Experience Open in Leicester

Recently, the indoor karting track TeamSport added a completely new VR experience to its offering at its Leicester location in the English East Midlands. In addition to the karting track and other entertainment offerings such as indoor crazy golf or eDarts that the venue includes, families, friends and other groups can now explore virtual worlds in ROAMDOME^® and become the heroes of various adventures. Equipped with VR goggles, backpack and a shooter, guests in groups of two to five people can choose between three different adventures implemented here for the first time: “Temple of the Diamond Skull” (treasure hunt), “The Lost City” (fight against zombies) or “Patient Zero” (save the world adventure).

Behind the VR offering is the ROAMDOME brand, a British company that is the exclusive licensing partner of trueVR systems, which developed the VR technology used here. A mix of motion capture technology, the latest VR hardware, and 4D special effects such as wind, heat and scent are designed to make this a full-body VR experience.
