UK: New Dungeon Attraction at Alton Towers Resort Now Open

Merlin’s Alton Towers Resort, located in Staffordshire/England, started into the new season this past Saturday and launched the Alton Towers Dungeon as a new second gate attraction.

The chamber of horrors is located on the site of the former “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” family boat ride, which was closed in 2015. Elements of the attraction such as the river with (freshly themed) vessels were included into the Dungeon. Guests experience dark moments of the region’s history in eight sceneries, live actors create additional creepy fun. British Holovis company was commissioned with the special effects, projection mapping, lighting and AV installations for the new attraction. (eap)
