USA: First Design Details Revealed for “Journey of Water” Attraction at Disney’s EPCOT
The new “Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana” attraction currently under construction in the “World Nature” area of EPCOT in Florida is set to be the first Disney Parks experience based on the Walt Disney Animation Studios computer animated film. Designed for all ages, the attraction of the Walt Disney World Resort is being built as part of the EPCOT theme park overhaul.
Guests will be invited to playfully interact with the element of water on an exploration trail. In a fun and engaging way, guests will be able to learn how to protect the natural water cycle. As revealed in the latest post on the official Disney blog, the Walt Disney Imagineering team and artisans have already begun designing the rocks for the exploration trail. As images show, already here guests will be able to notice familiar characters and symbols from the story about the brave and adventurous girl who, according to the storyline, is the daughter and designated successor to the tribal chief on the Polynesian island of Motonui and has a very special connection with the ocean and water. An official opening date for the “Moana attraction” has not yet been communicated. (eap)
