USA: Knott’s Berry Farm Welcomes Season Passholders As of Today
After a year-long closure due to the Corona pandemic and the strict visitor restrictions especially in the US state of California (cf. EAP news of 18 Feb 2021), Knott’s Berry Farm, which belongs to the Cedar Fair Group, is now looking forward to welcoming season passholders as its guests again starting today. As of May 21, the park will be open to other visitors again as well, but will be reserved for California residents only for the time being, according to the current safety precautions in the pandemic.
Last year, the theme park turned 100 years old – but of course a big birthday celebration could not take place due to the circumstances. Therefore, this summer (from May 21 to Sept 6), the special event will be honored with various events and surprises under the motto “The Knott’s Family Reunion”. A special highlight for guests will be a ride on the new 4D attraction “Knott’s Bear-y Tales: Return to the Fair”, which was actually scheduled to open to the public last year. The dark ride is a true classic with the park, as it is the attraction that originally opened in 1975 and closed back in 1986 and has been modernized and brought back to life now by the park in partnership with Canadian provider Triotech (cf. EAP new of 20 Nov 2019). Aboard the vehicles, which are equipped with interactive “jelly blasters”, passengers embark on a journey to help the two bears find the stolen boysenberry pies, according to the storyline. A great 4D adventure! (eap)
