USA: LEGOLAND Florida Plans Park Expansion for 10th Anniversary Season
LEGOLAND® Florida Resort plans to expand its park area by approx. 1.8 hectares (4.5 acres) in 2021, its tenth anniversary season, to gain space for new visitor experiences and attractions. The expansion is expected to include at least six new rides and a restaurant.
Just in 2019, the park opened LEGO Movie World, an all-new theme area, with an “m-Ride” type flying theater (from Brogent) as its main attraction (cf. EAP 4/2020). After the new Pirate Island Hotel was also opened this year as what is now the resort’s third accommodation site (in addition to the Legoland Hotel and the Legoland Beach Retreat), the planned park expansion appears to be another positive investment signal in the midst of the pandemic-related crisis.
