USA: Silver Dollar City Announces New Shows & Events for 2019 Season

After the opening of the new “Time Traveler” rollercoaster at Silver Dollar City earlier this year (read also our cover story in EAP, 3/18), the Branson/Missouri-based theme park has recently announced a new show & event line-up to enthuse visitors in the 2019 season.

“We are, and always will be, respectful to our roots of presenting great crafts, unique music and family-friendly shows. This coming year, we will add many colorful layers, boldly building a new era of entertainment into our traditions. Guests are seeking new experiences while embracing favorites as we support our mission statement of ‘Creating Memories Worth Repeating’,” said Brad Thomas, President of Silver Dollar City.

In order to refresh its entertainment program, the park plans to invest an amount of several million US Dollars. Among the new shows and events planned for the coming year is the "Festival of Wonder", which will be premiered right at the beginning of the new season with productions such as "Phoenix Fire" – a show with black light, laser and fire effects.

As a highlight for summer, Silver Dollar City has announced a new musical production specially created for the park: "Reuben's Swashbuckling Adventure" will take the audience on a magical journey of discovery with "flying" actors and numerous special effects. In addition, the two junior magicians Kadan Bart Rockett and his sister Brooklyn (known from the TV show America's Got Talent) will perform in the park. In the fall of 2019, a French-Canadian musical production will be performed during the day; in the evening, the park will be transformed into a bright orange-lit world with numerous pumpkins and other Halloween artifacts, before the park will festively shine with over 6.5 million lights during the Christmas season.
