USA/New Zealand: Magic Memories Expands Management for Further Growth in North America

Founded in New Zealand in 1995, the innovative photo and image capture provider Magic Memories recently welcomed two new members to its board of directors: Industry veterans Jeff Ryan, Senior Vice President of People at GoPro (US manufacturer of action camcorders) and Sanjay Dholakia, former Chief Marketing Officer at Marketo, will help guide the company’s further growth in the North-American market, where it has been established in 2015. “We’re thrilled Jeff and Sanjay are joining our Board as we continue to scale our North American operations and look for new opportunities to surprise and delight our guests,” said Mark Bowman, Chairman of the Board, Magic Memories.

Furthermore, George Reider has been appointed as CEO of the company’s North American division, responsible for the growth and direction of Magic Memories’ operations in the United States and Canada. “George’s appointment marks another exciting milestone in the development of our North American operations. The combination of his retail e-commerce experience with our growing business will create a solid foundation on which to build our future efforts,” said Bowman. For the last three years, Reider has worked closely with retail technology and online apparel startups at various stages of development.

Also in its Oceania home market, Magic Memories continues to enjoy ongoing success: Last week, a new photo experience has been launched at Melbourne Museum in due time for the opening of “Bug Lab”, an exhibition immersing guests into the world of bugs. In Europe, a “Magic Mirror” photo booth attraction was recently opened at SEA LIFE London (c.f. EAP news from May 29^th, 2017). (eap)
