USA/World: First Game of Thrones® Touring Exhibition Starts This Autumn

HBO Global Licensing^® has partnered with global events provider GES Events to create the first touring exhibition of the popular “Game of Thrones^®” fantasy series, which is based on the novel series “A Song of Ice and Fire” by George R.R. Martin and which was premiered on the US television channel HBO in 2011. Kick-off of the approx. 930 square meter (10,000 square feet) large touring exhibition will take place in Europe this autumn again. In 2015, the television network together with the tv channel Sky had already organized an exclusive five-day exhibition event related to the popular series in Berlin (cp. EAP 4/15). The touring exhibition that starts later this year will travel to further destinations worldwide.

Bereits 2015 hatte der Sender HBO zusammen mit dem Pay-TV-Sender Sky ein fünftägiges Exklusiv-Event zur Kultserie in Berlin verstaltet (vgl. EAP 4/15). Darüber hinaus sind für die Wanderausstellung künftig Destinationen auf der ganzen Welt geplant.

Fans of the series will be able to discover authentic props, costumes and set decoration as well as a mix of immersive environments, interactive and multimedia content. The exhibition will feature several reconstructed landscapes of the series‘ fictional continents “Westeros” and “Essos”. GES Events is designing and building the overall attraction. Currently, there are seven seasons of the successful Game of Thrones series, further seasons area already planned. (eap)
