USA: Scott Strobl Named New Executive Vice President & General Manager of Universal Studios Hollywood
After Universal recently announced several changes at the top management level for its international park locations (cf. EAP News of 2 Dec 2021), there is now another change at Universal Studios Hollywood: Scott Strobl (photo), who served as Senior Vice President of Operations at Universal Studios Hollywood for the last ten years, has been appointed Executive Vice President & General Manager of the theme park complex located near Los Angeles. Strobl began his career at Universal in 1996 as Director of Food Services at Universal Studios Japan. In 2001, he returned to the US and assumed the position of Director of Operations at Universal Studios Hollywood, most recently serving as Senior VP of Operations – this position will now be taken over by Glen Connally.
“As Senior Vice President of Operations of Universal Studios Hollywood for the past decade, Scott has been instrumental in bringing the Park’s most awe-inspiring experiences to life, creating seamless, one-of-a-kind experiences for our guests. Scott’s leadership and expertise have also led to the successful and rapid growth of our Universal CityWalk owned and operated businesses. We are thrilled that Scott, along with our new President of Universal Parks & Resorts, Pacific Rim Tom Mehrmann, will continue to lead Universal Studios Hollywood to new heights with our most ambitious project to date, the arrival of Super Nintendo World,“ it says in an official park statement.
