Universal Orlando Resort Announces Details about DreamWorks Land

(eap) Universal Orlando Resort recently announced details about its coming new DreamWorks themed area at Universal Studios Florida. The new area will feature various family-friendly attractions based around popular DreamWorks characters from films such as “Shrek”, “Trolls” and “Kung Fu Panda”.
A highlight of the new “DreamWorks Land” will be the family-friendly roller coaster “Trolls Trollercoaster” with a colourful Trolls theme. Also, there will be three new playgrounds: “Poppy’s Playground”, “Shrek’s Swamp for Little Ogres” and “Po’s Kung Fu Training Camp” – the latter two will combine a water and dry playground attractions. With “Mama Luna Feline Fiesta” and “Po Live!”, visitors can also look forward to two digital, interactive experiences. In the former, park guests can interact with “Mama Luna’s” cats from the film “Puss in Boots 2: The Last Wish” on a screen using buttons, bells, maracas and levers. “Po Live!” teaches visitors kung fu moves, cooking stir fry and babysitting – all at the same time – based on Po from the Kung Fu Panda films.
At the “Swamp Snacks” and “Trolls Treats” kiosks, visitors will be provided with savoury and sweet snacks. Various merchandise items will be offered in the “High Five Hideaway” shop. Furthermore, there will be various opportunities to meet the popular characters from the DreamWorks films, for example in the “DreamWorks Character Zone”. Also, there will be the “DreamWorks Theatre”, where the well-known DreamWorks stories will be brought to life in the “DreamWorks Imagination Celebration” show.
Both DreamWorks Land in Florida and the Universal Kids Resort in Frisco, Texas, which was announced last year, are primarily aimed at families with young children. The DreamWorks themed area at Universal Orlando Resort is scheduled to open this summer. ■
